Gallery Bakeliittibambi was founded in 1996. It is located in the very center of Helsinki, in Rikhardinkatu.
Bakeliittibambi's identity takes its shape from contemporary phenomena and trends of art. The gallery exhibits artists for about three weeks.
The gallery opened in Liisankatu in 1996-97 and from the beginning of 1998 it functioned in two separate showrooms in Rikhardinkatu. From June 2004 on the activity was concentrated in one showroom, with a separate Project Room.
The gallery is run by Mr Raimo Huttunen.
