Gallery Bakeliittibambi was founded in 1996. It was located in the very center of Helsinki, in
Rikhardinkatu.
Bakeliittibambi's identity took its shape from contemporary phenomena and trends of art. The
gallery exhibited artists for about three weeks.
The gallery opened in Liisankatu in 1996-97 and from the beginning of 1998 it functioned in two separate showrooms in Rikhardinkatu. From June 2004 on the activity was concentrated in one showroom, with a separate Project Room.
The gallery was run by Mr Raimo
Huttunen.
